This camp is designed for young players who want to build strong fundamentals while learning how effort (grit) and teamwork (glue) make great ballplayers.

Caleb Mezzy
FounderCaleb is a lifelong educator with a passion for all things baseball. He has coached baseball for over twenty years at various levels. His career as a college professor helps him to connect with the future generation to approach the practice of instruction in various modes. Outside of coaching and teaching, Caleb is soaking up all the baseball he can. Your child will leave camp with a love for baseball.
Jake Swerdloff
Director of Coaching
Jake competed at the Division I level at University of Massachusetts Amherst, after beginning his collegiate career at Muhlenberg College. Over his college career, he posted an outstanding .324 batting average, .433 on-base percentage, and .520 slugging percentage, good for an impressive .952 career OPS.
As a coach, Jake has spent six years developing players of all ages and skill levels from 7-year-olds to Division I college players. He has extensive experience in travel baseball and private instruction, helping athletes refine their mechanics, improve athleticism, elevate their baseball IQ, and build confidence both on and off the field.
Most notably, Jake serves as a coach for the Pottstown Scout Team and Pottstown Natty, where he works with dozens of the top-ranked players in the country as rated by Perfect Game and Prep Baseball Report. During his time coaching Pottstown teams, he has built a remarkable track record, losing only one game and winning every tournament he has coached in except one, where still reaching the semi-finals.
Jake combines elite playing credentials, championship-level coaching experience, and a genuine passion for mentorship. His partnership with Grit and Glue ensures campers will receive high-level instruction rooted in discipline, development, and a love for the game.
A more detailed daily breakdown will be shared before camp begins. More Instructors will be added once the camp fills up.

Each player is expected to bring their own lunch, snacks, and water. We will have a lunch break and water/snack breaks throughout the day.

Definitely. Players should wear cleats to camp and have a bag with at least a glove, helmet, and bat. Everything should have their name on it. Other gear is optional. A protective cup should be worn for anyone who would like to play catcher.

Both will be at Cherry Hill Atlantic Little League. For late drop-off or early pick-up, a parent can text me.

Yes, we will be able to refill water and get ice.

Yes. Coaches are trained to handle minor injuries, and parents will be contacted immediately if needed.

In the event of bad weather, activities may be delayed or adjusted. A rain date will be communicated in advance.
